While sitting with Jack and Carol, I (l) got to hear how the AYS very successfully promoted sailing among the kids, and how much Jack enjoyed teaching them. Meanwhile, Carol informed me in no uncertain terms that if their son, Jeff, were able to race, he would win the Nationals. The more I think of it, the more I'd love to meet the challenge of racing against Jeff. Another visit with the lovable Awosting Rebel fleet would also be great fun for me! Maybe I can come down to do a seminar of some kind (e.g. racing rules?) and work in a race or regatta in a borrowed Rebel???
